COOK|CHEF|FULLTIME

The main is to plan and organise the preparation and cooking of food in our restaurant. The right candidate will be working as a team with another chef and managers.

Skills and qualifications

The right  candidate must have some experience in Indian cooking. The right candidate must have following:

  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cooker (AQF) or equivalent
  • Good English language communication skills
  • Good hygiene and great personal presentation skills
  • Able to perform well under pressure when restaurant extremely busy
  • Able to work on the weekend and early mornings when required

Main duties

  • Cook to order lunch and dinner menu as per restaurant recipes
  • Assist and instruct cooks to prepare and cook food
  • Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices
  • Assist restaurant management in catering
  • Assist restaurant management and kitchen staff when required by manager
  • Open and set up kitchen everyday
  • Maintain inventory and order restaurant supplies
  • Follow management and head chef instructions

  • Assist restaurant management in catering
